bbtwo - what’s next?

Hi All

Sorry it’s been a while since we’ve been in touch! We’ve had a little break for a month or so and we are now champing at the bit to get started again. So what’s the plan? Well as previously mentioned we are going to step up our recording levels (both figuratively and literally) and lay down a few of our newest tracks with a lot more production attached. It’s a bit of an experiment really as we are going to do a lot of the recording in our home studios. With the wonders of modern technology we figure we can attain the same recording quality from the comfort of our own homes. This has two major benefits:

1) We can take our time and try out different approaches without the same time pressures and;

2) It wont cost us an arm and a leg in recording studio fees (only joking Tobi!)

We will still do the lead vocals, mixing and mastering in a studio so don’t worry it won’t sound rubbish :-)

We start the process this Friday when we are booked into Panic Studios for a mammoth 6 hour arrangement session. Can’t wait!

Using this method we hope to have an EP style release in a couple of months with 4 or 5 tracks and a whole new sound in terms of production. Watch this space!!

Luv

Big Thanks!

A big thank you to all of you that made it up to the Hope and Anchor on Saturday. We really appreciate your support.

The H & A was as small and sultry as I remembered it. It’s a great venue! We did a 45 minute set in the end as the first band didn’t rock up. Based on feedback we really hit our straps so really looking forward to the next one.

Just gotta say that the second band on, Dancers in Red, did a great set AND had the sexiest bass player in the history of popular music (that’s other than our very own Andy T of course!). Marion you are hot!!! Check them out!

Looks like a return to the Half Moon is next up for us. Watch this space for information!

See you tomorrow?

Just limbering up the fingers and throat for tomorrow night at the Hope and Anchor! Short set so we are really gonna go for it with all our up tempo stuff. Haven’t been to the H & A for donkey’s years but have fond memories of seeing bands there back in the day! We should be on about 8.30 so don’t have too many liveners down the pub beforehand or you’ll miss us!

Looking to get back in the studio soon to do some new tunes! We are going to try some more high production stuff so could sound a bit different. We’re not talking Dark Side of the Moon but something a bit more layered. Can’t wait!

My new sounds:

About bbtwo

bbtwo were originally formed back in our school days and performed on the minor London gig circuit for a while playing an aggressive style of late new wave rock and roll. We recently reformed using the powers of modern social networking and soon realised that we were a hell of a lot better than we used to be.

A lot of songwriting, rehearsing and recording later and we are ready to re-launch ourselves on the unsuspecting World. We have played a few preliminary gigs and are looking forward to playing a lot more in and around the London area over the coming months! Hope to see you soon!

We are:

Andy Mullins - Drums, Backing Vocals
Dave Bell - Guitars, Backing Vocals
Andy Tomaszewski - Bass, Backing Vocals
Mike Hord - Vocals and Guitars
